Compressors

Pressurises vaporised refrigerant received from the evaporator (between 1 and 2,5 bar) to a condensation pressure (between 10 and 20 bar). The compressor only pressurises vapour, not liquid.

This is the core of the system. It pumps in the refrigerant coming from the evaporator at a low temperature and at low pressure, compresses it and puts it back into the circuit at high pressure and high temperature. Most of the performance of the system depends on proper operation of the compressor.
