Condensers and Evaporators

These are two heat exchangers which transform the physical state of the refrigerant from liquid to gas (evaporator) and from gas

to liquid (condenser) in order to set the refrigerant cycle.

The condenser cools the pressurised (between 10 and 20 bar) refrigerant vapour from the compressor and condenses it to a liquid.

The evaporator evaporates the cold, liquid refrigerant and cools the air passing through it into the vehicle cabin. Vaporised refrigerant (between 1 and 2,5 bar) then passes back to the compressor.
