The Delphi TECHSOURCE AC Analyzer allows you to make an easy, five minute connection from the data acquisition unit to the vehicle being serviced. Data from various pressure and temperature sensors is transmitted to a PocketPC Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), while a wireless connection provides you with valuable diagnostic information from a portable display. From this screen, you can see values from the sensors displayed on a “system drawing” of the typical air conditioning system. Any values that are suspect will be displayed in red, providing an instantaneous indication of problem areas.
The system generates a message and a diagnosis to better service the vehicle. Some of the system messages include:
• Low refrigerant
• Refrigerant overcharged
• Expansion valve stuck open
• Expansion valve stuck closed
• Clogged orifice tube
• Compressor no output
• Accumulator clogged
• Blend door problem
The Delphi TECHSOURCE AC Analyzer also transfers all diagnostic results to any personal computer (PC) each time a PDA is synched to it.
